"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Hinckley-
A true friend makes it easier to live the gospel, brings out righteous qualities in you that make you better, and helps you be a guardian of virtue. Elder Robert D. Hale
Faith and fear cannot coexist in our minds. Fear inhibits faith and crowds our minds with worry so we cannot hear the Spirit. Fear needs to give way to faith in order for us to access the Lord's guidance and comfort. Ensign Sept 2010
Don't talk to Yesterday. Don't bother talking to yesterday. It never answers back. It's moved on to tomorrow. Done is done and that is that. Mistakes get made as life goes on. We get no dress rehersal. You don't get to try it again from the top. No karma change reversal. Don't sweat your mistakes. Just do what you can to love. To help. To share. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Today. It's Yours. Be There.
"When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Remember the will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you." -unknown-
