:)

Today was just one of those days. I couldn't seem to get anything done and I was very frustrated by that. The girls I think sense this and prey on it. The result was a very long afternoon. Just as I was at my wits end I told the girls that I needed a time out and sent them to go and play. I found them a few minutes later curled up in my comfortable with Ally trying to read the Book of Mormon to Ansley. It was adorable and made me smile. Thank you God for the small beams of sunshine on even the most dreary days. I am so blessed!

I love Sundays

I love Sunday's. It's a great day off with my family to relax and regroup for the upcoming week. It is truly a day that I look forward too. Today the weather was absolutely beautiful which was an added bonus. Claudette and Sierra picked up the girls and I and we hung out over at their house for the afternoon. It was such a nice afternoon. The girls played out in the yard with Sierra and Claudette and I got to hang out and chat. When the sun went down we laughed at the girls watching Home Alone, their favorite movie. It used to be Ally who would belly laugh and entertain us but now it is more Ansley. She wanted to give us a blow by blow of the movie and kept turning my head towards the TV and yelling for me to watch. At one point in the movie Harry tells the father not to worry that their house is in good hands. To which Ansley replied, "No it's not in safe hands. He is a bad guy!" It was a wonderful and relaxing day. Thank you Buckley family. The Rice's love you guys!!

My Girls

Today Jerry had to stop by Men's Wearhouse to pick up a shirt with the girls. Despite numerous attempts to get them to behave they just refused. The result was a loss of treats for a full week. As they were walking out of the store Jerry looked to Ally and said, "Ally you are old enough to know how to behave." To which Ansley adds "And you should be teaching me!!"

The Democratic Senate Debate

Tonight Jerry took me out to the Democratic Candidates Senate Debate between Richard Bloomenthal and Merrick Alpert at the University of Hartford. I was already very partial to Merrick Alpert but tonight has sealed the deal for me. He is the underdog and probably has no chance against someone like Bloomenthal but he understands the American people and has a grasp on what we need to do to try to fix the economy among many other problems we are facing in this country today. He is a fantastic speaker and I really enjoyed listening to the debate. It was so much better than the play he took me to a couple of weeks ago. I only wish we had tickets for the Republican debate tomorrow night.
